Senator Z – Hand Painted Reproduction

Senator Z is a zebra that lives on a wildlife preserve in Kenya. I wanted him to have a home here in my gallery. Zebras have an amazing example of abstract patterns of fur and an almost human emotional make up. I wanted to create a view of the abstract quality of his fur. When painting this I cut a lot of the brushes sable so as to paint each hair of his head. He came to life as the reflection of the blue water he was drinking from reflected in his eyes. Senator Z will grace your home or office in such a way that will command attention and create a sense of stillness. He gazes at you in bold solitude.
