$75.00$120.00

“These four cubs were born in the woods behind my house in 2018. They are the children of “The Queen Mother.”

The moon and stars are dogwood flowers which is North Carolina’s state flower. The sacred geometric orb carrying the moon represents the movement of time. The long legs of the cubs are in honor of Salvador Dali who was noted for his long legged elephants .Downtown Asheville is seen behind the bears. The black and white checkered floor , a classic 50s style surreal subject matter, represents day and night, conscious and subconscious. The Bears of Asheville are a perfect expression of our mystical city the native bears and the surreal side of life which always sparks our imagination.
